India

Culture shock

People told me that India was going to be a major culture shock for us. I thought that because I’ve traveled a lot, it wouldn’t be that big of a deal. But I was wrong…. India is something else! It’s something you have to have witnessed to know what everybody means. The people, the crowds, the streets, the food, and just overall, the atmosphere that surrounds you.

Streets

India travel tips New Delhi, Taj Mahal and Mumbai

There are a lot of different street images in India. Poverty is amongst one of them. Also, there was a big difference to be seen between Delhi and Mumbai streets. In Delhi, or at least the parts where we went, the streets were filled with filth. Trash everywhere, and not many trash bins to be find to through away your trash.
In Mumbai however, with also a limited number of trash bins to be found, the streets were really clean! Almost in every street there was someone working. Sweeping together all the trash from the street and throwing it in a trash bin on his or her cart. Besides the smell in certain streets / alleys, the streets were really very OK and clean.

Traveling is the best there is and what I enjoy the most in my life. And I don’t have children, so it’s OK for me to say that ;-) With my blog I hope to inspire people to plan their own travels. Not only those who love to do everything on their own, but also people who have a chronic pain or fatigue disorder (like me, I have fibromyalgia). Know that there is still a lot you can see of the world. Just take your limitations into consideration and plan accordingly. So go out into the world and explore!
